101 Goals

One day as I was randomly searching the internet, I stumbled upon the Day Zero Project. They presented a unique challenge: to complete 101 tasks in 1001 days (or roughly 2.75 years). The criteria are simple: 
  • Each task has to be specific and measurable. 
  • Tasks must range from realistic to far-fetched.
  • The list must stay up to date
Initially, I was hesitant to share this idea with my friends, but I genuinely want to see how far I will get with my goals. From June 19, 2020, to March 17, 2023, I will have 1001 days to accomplish my 101 goals.
Let’s see how far I get…
Academics/Professional 📚
Entertainment 📺
  1. At least one semester having a perfect GPA
  2. Get a job on campus
  3. Take a summer class
  4. Complete a free online course
  5. Find a career mentor
  6. Graduate college with 3.75+ GPA (High Honors)
  7. Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in a double major
  8. Learn and get a certificate in a coding language (ie Python)
  9. Land and work in a summer internship 
  10. Land and start working at a full-time job after graduating
  1. Binge-watch a series (most likely The Office)
  2. Watch the Marvel movies in chronological order
  3. Watch 10 documentaries
  4. Compile personalized Spotify playlists of your favorite songs
  5. Have a late-night adventure in the city
  6. Go to a concert
  7. Go to a Broadway musical
  8. Go to an NBA game
  9. Go snowboarding/skiing
  10. Get better at Call of Duty (or any video game for that matter)

  1. Attend a UIUC Basketball game and see them win
  2. Attend a UIUC Football game and see them win
  3. Take the ice-skating class
  4. Visit the Japan House
  5. Attend a Krannert performance
  6. Go to a concert on campus
  7. Volunteer for a day for a local org
  8. Do a massive Senior Night with my friends
  9. Have a good pic with each of my college friends
  10. Take pictures of everything on campus on graduation
  11. Visit campus again after I start working
  12. Have a reunion after graduating
  13. Visit each town from Chicago to Champaign (on I-57)
  14. Go on a spontaneous trip
  15. Deck out in Gies gear
  1. Start a blog/Medium posts
  2. Learn to play the harmonium
  3. Pick up playing trombone again
  4. Write and compose a song
  5. Pick up Spanish again
  6. Learn iPhone photography
  7. Create a milestone chart of all the major milestones in my life
  8. Create a video/article of my college advice
  9. Write down all my experiences from college
  10. Write a letter to myself to open when I graduate and when 1001 days are over 
  11. Create a piece of artwork
  12. Do a woodworking project
  13. Learn how to do hip hop
  14. Memorize a random, full bhangra routine
  15. Read 15 books
Family 👪

  2. Redo and update the garage
  3. Give my childhood bedroom a complete makeover
  4. Create a family online photobook
  5. Organize and date the old family photos
  6. Create a family tree
  7. Take an updated family portrait
  8. Do a family book club for one book
  9. Have a summer/graduation party with extended family
  10. Get through movie night without someone falling asleep
  11. Teach grandparents how to use Facebook
  12. Travel to India

  17. Don’t complain for a week
  18. Create and stick to a budget for at least a month
  19. Go a week without spending money
  20. Donate a part of my wardrobe and replace it with a new style
